• Question: i was wondering if there is much of a difference between the plant and animal life in the rivers in different parts of Ireland as we are a small country with not much difference in our climate?

Hi ,that’s a great question đŸ™‚ You’re right in that our rivers would be pretty similar all over Ireland. Sometimes animals change though, there’s a kind of mussel that is only in the river Nore. There’s also a crayfish (kind of like a lobster) that is only in some parts of the country. And there’s a fish called an artic char that lives in just a small number of lakes. So while the rivers are pretty similar in their plant/animal life, you do get small areas with different sorts of animals đŸ™‚
