Question: Do you keep bees at home,if so are they honey bees and do they make honey? If you have bees do you ever do experiments with them?

  I have left my honeybee colony in Italy when I moved to Ireland a year ago, now my dad is taking care of them.
  Yes, they make honey every year. This year they produced almost 600 kilograms of honey, impressive!
  
  No, I have never used my honeybee in Italy for the experiment, mostly because I did not have any lab where to test them.
  
  No that I am living in Ireland, I do not have my own honeybees, but I am managing the University honeybee. They also produce honey! And sometimes, I use them to run some experiment. Mostly I am interested in analyzing their DNA.
